How should your photographer deliver your wedding photos?

How should your photographer deliver your wedding photos?

There are many ways to deliver your wedding photos. And different photographers have many different preferred methods.

In this blog, I will explain how I deliver your wedding photos.

The Sneak Peek

After your wedding I will back up and edit your photos.

Within just a few days I will send you a sneak peek of a very small number of photos.

These usually arrive via email or WhatsApp.

Remember, this is only a tiny snapshot, so don’t panic that not everyone is in them and they are in a lower resolution. They are not meant to be printed! You will receive them all as high resolution files with your full set of photos.

The Exclusive Online Gallery

Once all your photos have been edited, I will be uploading them to an online gallery.
This is a quick and secure way to deliver your wedding photos to you and your chosen guests.

This gallery is not only password protected, it is also hidden, meaning there’s no website linking to it and it can’t be found by search engines like Google either.

This means, the gallery is exclusive to the people who you decide to share the link and password with. Only they will be able to enter the very exclusive exhibition that is your wedding gallery.

You will receive an email with all the details you need once your full gallery is online and ready for viewing.

Forward this email with family and friends to allow them to see the photos.

Everyone you share the gallery details with will be able to download the photos they want. This will save you the time consuming requests of: “can you send me this photo please”…

If you don’t wish your family and friends to download photos for themselves or order prints, please let me know and I will set the gallery to ‘viewing only’.

Your Keepsake USB

Just a few days after your gallery opening and as final step of delivering your wedding photos, you will receive a personalised keepsake USB flash drive with all your high-resolution photos on it through the post if you have requested this.

A keepsake USB flash drive saves you having to download the whole gallery, which can take a few hours depending on internet speed in your area.
Furthermore, it is also a beautiful item, especially sourced for your wedding from a supplier of environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced products.

Please make a backup copy of your photos on your computer or a separate data carrier / cloud storage.

Backup of Your Beautiful Wedding Photos

Regardless of whether you have downloaded your photos from your password protected gallery or received a keepsake USB flash drive, please keep at least two copies of your full set of photos on two separate data carriers.

It’s great to have one easily accessible copy on your computer or tablet for whenever you feel like looking back at your special day, and a backup copy in case your computer or tablet breaks or is stolen.
A separate data carrier, like a flash drive or cloud storage, is ideal. Even better if you have it on both.

There is no such thing as too many backup copies!

I do hold on to full galleries for a short while. However, I am sure you will be wanting to enjoy and look at your full set of photos for a lot longer than I can store them.

How I deliver your wedding photos

As you can see, I deliver your wedding photos in 3 steeps: editing every single photo takes time, so I send a little sneak peek as soon as possible.

Once I have edited all your photos, you will have an exclusive and private online gallery to share with your guests.

And if included in your booking, the final delivery of your wedding photos is on a beautiful keepsake USB Flash Drive, which you will receive in the post.

Please see my brochure for more details.
