Children at Weddings and 3 reasons Why I don’t share their photos without permission
Children at weddings are cute and they really do make for the best un-posed photos and natural smiles.
And they sell!
If a bride with a two-year-old sees what fab photos I have taken of young children at weddings, it could secure me her booking. Not sharing these photos might lose me the booking.
But this is not about me. It is about you and your children!
Rainy wedding day: this is the type of image I will share unless you ask me not to
Children at Weddings: We all feel protective of our children
I might not have a child of my own now, but I totally get it.
I’ve lost my only baby fairly early into the pregnancy, nevertheless, I felt very protective of him. And I still do. I even find it hard to talk about him here.
It somehow feels like I am sharing his private information…on the other end of the spectrum: my nieces’ and nephews’ photos were all over social media when they were little.
So yes, I totally get that being protective means different things to different parents. And every kind of it is valid.
One of my finest photos of the day. 🙂 Can you feel the fun she felt right there?
Some people are simply cautious, and others have very concrete reasons, like adoption or a complicated family situation, for not wanting their child’s photos on the internet.
Hence, I only share photos in which children are not easily identified, unless I have confirmed with you that it is ok to share the faces of the children at your wedding on the internet.
So, no. You won’t find all my very best children at weddings photos on my website or social media. There is only a very small selection.
But this also means, that you and your guests won’t need to worry about the children at your wedding appearing on the internet without your agreement.
So how do you know if you like my photos of children at weddings?
Worry not, I will not ignore the children at your wedding! Neither will I shoot faceless photos so I have something to share.
I am documenting your day for you!
Meaning there will be plenty of photos of the children and most of them will, of course show their expressive, happy, facinated or sometimes even bored faces.
If you are wondering how to decide whether you like my style, here are some photos of children and weddings I have shot, that I can share with you today.
